The Splitproof Bevel Edge wood chisel has improved sharpness, edge retention and can be used in tight corners and edges. It can be used by all trade professionals and home DIY users. The blade, bolster (the metal ring which sits above the tang) and tang (the long sharp point at the end of the chisel, that sticks into the handle ) are forged from a single piece of steel, which allows for strength. The handle is fitted with a split-proof plastic handle which will withstand heavy usage especially when being used with a hammer. Sold as a single unit.
