Shipping and Returns
Free Delivery on orders over £250 Inc VAT to all WV Postcodes and DY3 Postcodes. Carvers can arrange delivery of your purchases utilizing a number of different options.
Small items such as door furniture, locks and latches, sealants etc... can be collected from store or delivered nationally using a carrier service.
Items such as bricks, blocks and sand are not suited to go on a carrier and are delivered on our fleet of 30 specialist lorries for distances up to 30 miles from out Wolverhampton depot at Littles Lane. The charge for lorry delivery is dependent on the value of the goods and the location. This is automatically calculated when you place an order.
Large and Small Items
If your order contains large and small items, we will deliver it together in a single large item delivery. As such, any basket that contains a large item can only be delivered within our standard delivery area (WV and DY3 Postcodes).
Allow Time for Delivery
We deliver between Monday & Friday (excluding some bank holidays) and on Saturdays. Delivery on Saturdays may incur an additional charge and is subject to available transport - please get in touch for more details. If you need a delivery sooner than our normal delivery times will allow (these are stated in the basket section) please get in touch and we do our best to accommodate you.
Where we are delivering on our own vehicles please allow at least 2 business days before delivery. We will contact you to confirm the delivery day on the number you provide with the order.
If building work is being carried out on your behalf always ensure you have the goods on site at least a day before the builder is due to start. We put a huge amount of effort and resource to ensure we deliver on time, but delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
All the items on the website are available from the Wolverhampton Littles Lane depot over the counter. Please note the prices available from the depot may vary from those on the website.
All CASH SALE customers must have a valid invoice/receipt as proof of purchase for goods to be returned and will be subject to a minimum of a 15% restocking charge on all Yard products.
Shop goods returned in resalable condition within 7 days of purchase will be subject to no restocking charge and then a 15% restocking charge thereafter.
Goods ordered as specials from manufacturers (not stock items) cannot be returned for credit under any circumstances.
Stock items which are to be returned for credit must be returned to store within 30 days of purchase in good condition and charges as above will be made.
For stock items over 30 days a 25% restocking charge will apply, with approval from a Director and must be in a resalable condition. Any goods over 90 days old, cannot be returned.
Goods cannot be returned by our transport unless necessary collection note has been issued a 15% restocking charge applied and a collection charge levied of at least £30.00 plus VAT.
Where the Company orders goods from a manufacturer to be made to the customer’s own specifications, the Customer will be liable to recompense the Company for the cost of such goods if through no fault on the part of the Company, the goods are no longer required by the Customer due to incorrect specifications being given by the Customer to the Company or any other cause.
Inspection of Goods Upon Delivery
The customer shall inspect the Goods immediately on delivery thereof and shall within 14 days from such delivery give notice to us of any matter or thing by reason whereof the customer may allege that the Goods are not in accordance with the order. If the customer shall fail to give such notice the Goods shall be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with the contract and the customer shall be deemed to have accepted the Goods accordingly.
The customer must inspect the Goods immediately on delivery and notify Carvers within 14 days of that delivery if there are any issues with the delivery made. If the customer fails to raise any issues with the delivery within that 14 day period then the goods delivered will be deemed acceptable by the customer and no further action will be taken by Carvers if issues are raised thereafter.
