The Carvers Wolverhampton City Marathon is all about local charities through people setting themselves a challenge.

For the brave, you can enter the full marathon and run 26.2 miles.

For the not so brave, you can enter the half marathon and run 13.1 miles.

If you are an aspiring Bradley Wiggins or just want a leisurely Sunday morning cycle ride, join the 20k cycle event and wheelchair event.

All the profits from this event go to local charities. This year's very worthy charities are listed below. Typically, we raise around £20,000 for the charities.

Compton Hospice



A place to find shelter on the most difficult part of life's journey - offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and the caring support of people who understand.

Midlands Air Ambulance



The Midlands Air Ambulance is the only Charity responsible for funding and operating three Air Ambulances serving the communities of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK.

Sunnyside Kennels

Sunnyside houses 100 stray dogs in first class accommodation, with a veterinary consulting room and an isolation unit for those dogs requiring special one to one care. Exercise facilities are in the form of a beautiful grassed area that both dogs and customers can walk around at their leisure. We believe that this site is one of the best purpose-built homes in the UK.
